Below are the rules that are being used in Germany at the moment for there LIPO Master Series thats running in 2008. A number of events are being held by Naviga.

Set of rules LiPo Masters

General

A national racing series is the LiPo masters series for radio-controlled model powerboats driven electrically. The Bootantrieb is made by electromotors which are operated from again chargeable accumulators on lithium basis. The models become driven ship's propellers (propellers) of this. The classes are subdivided roughly in Monos (one trunk boats) and Hydros (increase trunk boats). A half diving surface drive is used here. A full diving drive is used in the class Eco.

Radio system

Far control systems are authorized in the 27 MHz, 40 MHz and DSM 2.4 GHz band whose channels for the model sports are allowed in Germany.

Classes

Mono standard class A (M SA)
Boat trunks:
Only Monorümpfe of Klein and big manufacturers and no buildings of one's own are authorized.
Accumulator:
Category A see accumulator categories ()
Engine:
A closed brush electromotor of the size 500 or 600 without
Shaft carbons. The engine may not open and getimed becoming. Any further change of the engine is not permitted. Wave system:
Throughout 4 mm
Propeller:
Unchanged synthetic material screws of large series manufacturers established originally.
At use of LiPo cells max. 37.5 mm diameter.
At use of Li-Fe cells max. 34.5 mm diameter.

Mono A (M A)
Motor and wave installation free, accumulator category A

Mono B (M B)
Motor and wave installation free, propeller free, accumulator category B

Hydro A (H-A)
Motor and wave installation free, accumulator category A

Hydro B (H-B)
Motor and wave installation free, propeller free, accumulator category B

Eco A (E A)
Full dipped dial mechanism, wave installation free, propeller free, accumulator category A Minimum take-off weight 1000 g.

Motor need end

Every boat must have need end an on the outside appropriate and well visible and attainable which interrupts the complete dial mechanism electrical circuit in front of the controller (normally red cable bow). The functionality can sporadically checked by the racing organizers.

Racing duration

Mono standard: 8 minutes
Mono A //u.// B: 6 minutes
Hydro A //u.// B: 5 minutes
Eco A: 6 minutes

Only identical cells are permitted to the same capacity within a battery pack.
The organizer may voltage measurements the battery pack to carry out.
The nominal voltages may 4.25 V at lithium Polymer cells (LiPo)/3.2 V and at Li-FePO4 cells (LiFe) 3.65/2.6 V per cell switched to row about not or fall V.
The disqualification is said for the racing run at deviation of the mentioned tension limits.

Course

The course is used as pretext by the organizer.
The course is marked by buoys. The buoys become umrundet on the outside within the racing duration
The course length is is clockwise round to the right in the Mono and Hydro classes approx. 150 m. direction of the traffic.
The course length is is in the class Eco-A approx. 100 m. direction of the traffic contrary to the Uhrzeigersinn round to the left.

Start signpost

Every boat must considerably carry a start signpost with its number.
The start signpost has the outside measurements 80 x80 mm and carries the assigned number written black on a white underground. The number has a minimum height of 70 mm and a document breadth of 10 mm in black. The number has to be carried on both sides.

Evaluation system

At least three racing runs per class are driven per day of the race. The two best runs are (judged or " two-from four " etc.), two-from three " racing rounds of the two best runs are added up and form the overall result, i.e. these. The round number and one running time is determined by the organizer.
The group size limits itself on at most eight participants.

Points are allocated for the placings of a day of the race. The points collected over an annual season yield the overall result for the championship.

Platz 1 = 20 Punkte
Platz 2 = 15 Punkte
Platz 3 = 12 Punkte
Platz 4 = 10 Punkte
Platz 5 = 08 Punkte
Platz 6 = 06 Punkte
Platz 7 = 04 Punkte
Platz 8 = 02 Punkte

Racing advertising and organizer duties

The organizer fixes with his written and published racing advertising which classes and how many class runs are delivered. It is free for the organizer kept free, to lift up a registration fee per participant and classes driven by the participant.
This registration fee is produced on-site at the registration of the participant.
The course must be put by registration date and make a free training possible.
The organizer has a holding boat during the complete one to have ready event appointment.
The round count as well as the the times and fault evaluation is made by a computer program suitable for it.
The three first put day or event winners get one cup each, documents or factual prices can be had ready for the other participants in an estimation of their own.

Start and racing execution

The boats start stationarily independently from the footbridge in the course away on the left. The racing time starts with the starting signal by the start place leader.
The round count starts with going over the start aim line of the first complete round.
The running ends with expiry of the racing time (announcement by the start place leader). After expiry of the racing time the one running time is found out for the completion of the last round.

A clear false start is punished with a round discount!

Buoy transgressions:

The first buoy transgression is punished with 5 s discount. The further discount is punished with a round!
Roughly unathletic and endangering behaviour is punished by the competition with a disqualification of the racing run up to the disqualification from the organizer.
Examples: Repeated disturbing being outstripped, ramming other participants deliberately deliberately a line frequency block.

Liability

For this the organizer is autonomous.
A possible exclusion of liability could be formulated followingly:
"The organizer assumes no liability for damages which could result from participation in the event. The exclusion of liability refers as far as legally permitted, it is participant of the event or visitor particularly on damages which are caused by third parties.
Furthermore the participant obliges himself which is assigned on the part of the organizer to adhere, all instructions. With a written registration the participant recognizes this regulation."
